  4x2ReVu: 5928 Bi-wing Baron

Author's note: I'm a bit embarrassed to reprint this review because the "intro" story sounds too much like a particular scene from the 1999 Mummy movie but I really did write the review more than a year before that film was released. ---...--- (...)   4x2ReVu: 7130 Snow Speeder

It's been hours since the first Imperial ground forces landed. Most of the rebel convoy made it to the wider confines of space but a few scattered remnants of those that didn't make it to the outer atmosphere litter the frozen, unforgiving surface (...)   4x2ReVu: 7151 Sith Infiltrator

"Tracking scans indicate the craft is still in pursuit, Captain" the medical assistant states. And the already-grim expression on the medical shuttle captain's face turns to a deepening scowl. "But who on earth would assassinate a jedi-knight and so (...) (25 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Lego Creator Board game

(...) In case anyone's interested, I saw this at KB Toy Works for 14.95, quite unusual for them since they usually markup 10% over retail. Rob +---...---+ | Rob Farver - rfarver@rcn.com | | (URL) | | (URL) | +---...---+ (25 years ago, 11-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Does anyone have the 8479 bar code truck?

(...) at (...) This is something I'd like to know too. I've been trying to make cheap copies using other Lego parts, but nothing's working real well. I'd like to use the originals. Finding old sets around my area is a pain, so any ordering info (...) (25 years ago, 11-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.robotics)

  Lego Creator Board game

This came available in the latest catalog from US S@H (item GA03, 19.75, comes with 72 pieces) so I got a copy. I don't have time for a full review but did want to share some thoughts as I don't think anyone else has reviewed it yet. I am a gamer (...) (25 years ago, 10-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews)

RE: Does anyone have the 8479 bar code truck?

Snip > Are these cables available in any other sets? There is a cable in the 8444 Air Enforcer set. It is used for motion between the two joysticks and the swashplate on the rotor (another interesting part). It has two clevis ends, and a mid clevis (...)   Re: Does anyone have the 8479 bar code truck?

(...) I just noticed the flex cables in the picture of this set in the latest Shop at Home catalog. They look like bicycle brake cables. That could be really useful for transferring motor power to other parts of a model or robot. And probably more (...) (25 years ago, 10-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.robotics)

Re: Does anyone accually like 4561?

(...) Minifig accessories are okay, because they are small (and therefore cheap). But the best minifig accessories are the sort-of generic space-tools, specifically (in generally descending order of my preference): (6 URLs) These pieces can be (...)   4x2ReVu: 6909 Sonic Stinger

On an early morning training session (she prefers the traditional method, without electronic implants in her insect charges) Acasia spots a section of the Hurolac valley where a small plume of black smoke is issuing. This morning's session has gone (...) (25 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.space)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

(...) Maybe it's just that I'm trying to open it too quickly. I always lift it abou two "teeth" notches and then the canopy and hinges come off on the third notch. I'll try to take things a little more gently. (...) Hey, that's a good idea. I'm (...) (25 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.underground)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

I bought this set recently too and I liked it better than I expected. Not having seen the aqua-set with the same loading scoop mechanism it was new to me and I think it works well, especially for younger kids. The canopy hinges on mine did not pop (...)   4x2ReVu: 4950 Loader Dozer

Klaus is a class II Corporal in the maintenance unit for the substation, Hephaestus' Forge. This morning his duties call him to a lower tunnel where water pipes keep bursting (affecting pressure for lower excavation areas). He parks his vehicle in (...)   4x2ReVu: 7140 X-wing Fighter

Two wide-eyed youth look at the spacecraft before them in awe. The pilot, in civilian clothes, is busy speaking with a small crowd about the importance of joining the academy so he pays no particular attention to the two young ones. "So why (...)   Re: 4x2ReVu: 5909 Treasure Raiders

(...) Using same rating system: 1) 5948/5909/2978 is by far the best. I rebuilt mine to be a two seater though 2) 5956 the idea is very clever 3) 5928 looks very good apart from the wing guns 4) 5925 looks desent 5) 5988 Balloon 2 through 5 is in a (...)   Re: Does anyone accually like 4561?

(...) I'd think of the raft as a cheater peice: (URL) can build it out of regular lego peices, but instead of being imaginative, they build a new peice. Okay, having said that, I kinda like the zodiacs. Ciao! (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.reviews)

  Re: 4x2ReVu: 7150 TIE Fighter and Y-wing

(...) I agree that this is a really good model set. I am very pleased with the Y-wing engine assemblies, its color scheme, its tapered cockpit, and the excellent detail of its pilot's face and helmet. I am a bit disappointed with its flat underside.   4x2ReVu: 7150 TIE Fighter and Y-wing

The pilot kicks his father's ship for the hundredth time. He waited all his life for the opportunity like that of helping his friends with a raid on the empire's deathstar and now, so close, his father's rusty Y-wing decided to stall out on a nearby (...)
