This came available in the latest catalog from US S@H (item GA03, 19.75,
comes with 72 pieces) so I got a copy.

I don't have time for a full review but did want to share some thoughts
as I don't think anyone else has reviewed it yet.

I am a gamer through and through, I must have over 100 different board,
role playing and simulation games, and probably another 100 PC titles of
varying vintages. Plus I have more money to burn than some. So factor
that in to my evaluation... But I liked this game. Thought it was worth
19.75.

The basic idea is that you are competing to complete your model before
everyone else does. the group chooses a color, then everyone draws a
model card from that color group (that ensures tehre are enough pieces
to go around to complete all the models).

You go around the board by dice roll. squares direct you to take bricks
of a specific color, or any color or "special pieces", or direct you to
take pieces from other players.

You're encouraged to build as you go rather than just collect (which
resonates for me! :-) ) as it is the first person who completes their
model, not the first person with all the pieces.

I have played maybe 6 times with various kids now and I enjoyed it. It's
not an adults only game, per se, fairly simplistic. But it's great fun
for adults and kids together, or just kids. Even preschoolers can play
with a little help and supervision.

It only holds my kids attention for 2-3 games at a sitting, they then
want to go off and build stuff. but that's OK.

There IS a strategy to winning and if you execute the strategy well you
have a better chance but it is still luck in the final analysis.

Hope that helps folks in deciding.

I liked it better than the time cruisers game.

(...) In case anyone's interested, I saw this at KB Toy Works for 14.95, quite unusual for them since they usually markup 10% over retail. Rob +---...---+ | Rob Farver - rfarver@rcn.com | | (URL) | | (URL) | +---...---+ (25 years ago, 11-Oct-99, to lugnet.reviews, lugnet.market.shopping)
