All I'm saying is give some of the others a try until you figure out what's
going on.

{ font: weight style variant size/line-height font-name(s) }
In this property, the order... is important (although not every value needs to
be present)... A valid font value must contain the size and the font name, in
that order, otherwise, the value should be ignored (and is by most browsers)
(Web Design in a Nutshell, 2d ed., pp. 303-304).

I like to use the background-color and color declarations as debugging tools.
Specifying red or aqua or something outside your design scheme can illuminate
how the cascade is working (or where it fails). Have fun.
