Re: Interview about my hobby on the Dutch TV

(...) One does not need to understand Dutch to enjoy this video. I watched the video 5 times back to back. Those trucks are huge! That Scania LS111 is the most beautiful Lego truck I have ever seen. The Menck M154 is Motorized, which I did not know (...) (19 years ago, 1-Oct-05, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic, lugnet.publish, FTX)

Interview about my hobby on the Dutch TV

In July I was interviewed about my hobby for a Dutch programme about transportation. It was broadcasted two weeks ago and they also put the video on their website. It is spoken in Dutch but there's no subtitling unfortunately. For those who are (...) (19 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic, lugnet.publish, FTX)

A brand new web page, with 7 creations to go with it!

Well, after 5 years and almost 2 million page views, I decided that brickfrenzy.com's late 1990's design had worn out its welcome. So I set out to design a new one. But since I am no good with PHP and CSS, I needed help. So with the assistance of a (...)   Re: AFOL Web Developers! (was Re: LEGO Developer's Guild)

Sounds very cool. I just went and signed up. My only page online is on C-S, and I stole the page design. :D It'll be nice to watch and read and see what others say on such topics. Definitely a good idea! -Stefan- (19 years ago, 27-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish)

AFOL Web Developers! (was Re: LEGO Developer's Guild)

Ok, I promise I'm not trying to win the prize for the oldest thread resurrected :) But when we were at Brickfest a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that many of the conversations that I was involved with were about code, and websites, and how to make (...)   Re: Schpiffkraft Hakenkreuz

(...) Lenny please don't attempt to make JLUG something it is not. From the user agreement: "This forum is for discussing any facet of creating with bricks but is intended for a mature audience." It is not and never was designed to be "adults only", (...) (19 years ago, 9-Aug-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

(...) No!!! Don't say that. I really, really don't have time for any more projects, so telling me how much fun it was isn't helping me at all. Please tell me that it was gruelling, thankless, back-breaking labor that made you regret you'd ever (...) (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

(...) You know, it was surprisingly easy to do my book. TONS of work, certainly. But very fun work, and it's been great to have accomplished it. Interestingly, it wasn't "hard" work, in sense that only a select few people in the world could do it. (...) (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

--SNIP-- (...) I agree about nice, shiny books. Of course, if we could get enough information and a liberal enough publisher, we could print the shiny book eventually ;-). Tim (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: Wanted: book on LEGO town building

(...) Thanks, Tim — I confess that I thought BrickWiki was just about the history of LEGO. I didn't know it was a repository for building techniques as well. I agree, that could be quite useful. In some ways, not quite as nice as a glossy book on my (...) (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Wanted: book on LEGO town building

I know Jake recently got an excellent book on LEGO trains published. I'd love to see something similar, but all about building minifig-scale LEGO towns. I imagine that major sections of the book might include: vehicles buildings landscaping & (...) (19 years ago, 5-Aug-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)
