I've had two "mens' magazines" ask me for hi-res pictures of my church. They seem to assume I'll be delighted with the request. One offered monetary compensation, the other apparently thought I'd be so delighted they'd just offer copies of the (...) (21 years ago, 13-Nov-03, to lugnet.publish)

The problem with this model is that the "organization" has a certain limited amount of space, let's say 100 GB for example. Now, let's say two people join. Do you give them each 50 GB? Why should I get to pay the same as some guy who hosts a few highly compressed gifs and doesn't get a lot of traffic. Very unfair (...) I'm unconvinced as to why you'd need this. Plenty of people provide free hosting, for example I bet your ISP does. Now the space available on these sites is limited but then the majority of the large stuff on your site would actually be on (...) (21 years ago, 31-Oct-03, to lugnet.publish)
