Has anyone created building instructions using MEGA-POV, POV or something
else for big models? I've been sucessful so far using the following
combination for small/medium models:
1) Create in Ldraw (.ldr)
2) Convert using L3PAO (.pov)
3) Render using Mega.POV (.png)
4) Insert into PowerPoint (.ppt) [I have a instruction template in PPT]
5) Convert to .pdf for posting
The images I render in pov are 320x240. Using this scale I can fit 4 images
per powerpoint slide. This is okay for small models but if the model is too
big then I move up to 640x480 (allowing only 2 images per slide).

The problem I am now having is that for big models (models using baseplates
of 32x32 or higher) a 640x480 image is just not good enough. I've broken
down my big model into many sub-models but it's still no good. Too many
sub-models, camera angle off, zooming issues, etc...
What have people done to help in making building instructions for bigger
models? The only constraint to the question is that the FINAL file MUST be PDF.
