Heh heh thanks. :-, I was wincing a bit about that -- it almost looks like
the cheesy sfx they used on the old Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica
shows. But we all love cheese...

Awesome, thanks for the feedback. This is exactly what I wanted.
The #1 request I've heard is for a master parts list, so that'll be the next
big thing for me to work on. Frankly, I'm a bit stumped here, because this
seems to be the hardest part to automate. The problem is extracting the
correct part count from models that include a submodel multiple times. What
I really really need is a command-line DAT inliner that works with DAT and
MPD models in any directory (not just LDRAW\MODELS), but the only inliner
tool out there AFAIK is Steve Bliss' LDAO, which (while an excellent tool)
satisfies none of these requirements. :-/ Perhaps someone has been quietly
working on such a tool and can come to my rescue...?
Another big request has been a printable version. My question is, what does
this mean? The more I think about this issue the cloudier it becomes -- I
have zero talent page layout. Some have suggested putting all steps on one
page, on the other hand Chris' suggestion to put 2-3 steps per page sounds
better to me -- but on the gripping hand, what criteria do I use to
determine if a page gets 2 or 3 or 5 steps? Hm.
Anyway, this gets me pointed in the right direction again. Thanks for the
ideas, Chris. :-,
