On Mon, 31 Jul 2000 10:45:16 -0600, Karim wrote (in message <FyKMJG.5oz@lugnet.com>): (...) Karim, Fantastic update as usual! I wasn't sure about the feet on the Panther at first, but when I saw the shot from the rear quarter, bam!, I loved it. You (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

It is always great to see new models by you Karim. You know, I think it was you and Ben Vaughn who got me back into Lego building about 1.5 years ago. I remember feeling very inspired by your earlier work. Your line of microfig scale capital ships (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

Mine are very tightly packed by using 8 1x2 plates with handle, and 2 1x1 plate clip lights. BTW I downloaded the .dat files for the Scarab and Panther, very nice! I also see that the Panther uses a similar ankle, and shin joints like my Neroid, (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

(...) vertically. (...) Yeah :) I wanted to find a way to pack them more densely, but couldn't figure it out in the limited space I had there. Over all, I'm pretty happy with the way the Scarab worked out though. I look forward to seeing your (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

(...) You know, I actually built that gun 2 years ago... It was on the mecha I called the Gargoyle, which I never finished. I have since taken the gargoyle apart, but kept three of its guns assembled, hoping to find a use for them. I've now used (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

(...) Thanks! :) I was waiting for someone to pick those out... now if only they actually came in black... (...) Very very painfully, by hand in LEdit. (...) *whew* finally! I can stop hitting your page 100 times a day looking for updates! :-, (...) I love that passenger ship! Total luxury! :-, The Magellan looks pretty cool, too.   Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

I love the chain gun on your new mecha. I was watching Gundam Wing the other day, and I was thinking "Why not make a chain gun like HeavyArms?" Looks like you beat me to it. ;^) I love the use of parts to make the curved bow on the spaceliner too. (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

Wow! Amazing as usual! I see on the back of your Scarab Field Unit, it has those flags set vertically. Can you believe I did the same thing yesterday while building my own mecha (except its bi-pedal), mine uses 8 of them and they are heat sinks. (...)   Re: Finally! Pallas Spaceworks Update

Great work, Karim! I always enjoy seeing your new models; I particularly like the passenger liner; you've really captured the essence of a luxury cruiser there. The engineering vessel is a fine piece of work, too. I must say that my all-time (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jul-00, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.publish, lugnet.space)

  What's wrong with Brickshelf?

Hey- So here I am, trying to please the dat-viewerless population and post my ZOOT Suit on Brickshelf, but every time I hit 'upload' I get an internal systems error warning. Is anyone else having trouble, or is it something I'm doing? -Jeremiah- (25 years ago, 27-Jul-00, to lugnet.publish)
