I popped the image up into XV (an x-windows image editor) and looked at
the colors. Almost all of the colors are reds and blues, which suggests
the camera may have tried to white balance a picture which was taken
under incandescent light (yellow). You may get a better picture if you
put the ship onto a sheet of white paper to take the picture, this might
give the camera more white so that it makes a better white balance. The
other option is to get a nice photo-flood or video light (which will
provide a much brighter, and whiter light, which will give better
results).
