(...) much (...) mint (...) Yeah, but all of us *hate* that answer. What the person is invariably really asking is what price does this usually sell for and is my deal okay by the conventional wisdom. (...) See? You knew what the real question was! (...)   Re: Value of 6264

(...) Once Lego sets go out of production, they tend to go for their MSRP or higher (a combination of inflation and rarity). Not always, and dependent on completeness and condition. If something is missing a part, it simply is not "mint in box". If (...) (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  instructions for 6276 wanted

I need a set of instructions for 6276 (Governor's Fort). I have downloaded them from brickshelf, but am after an orginal set of them. Has anyone got any spare to trade or sell? (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Value of 6264

(...) Well, the standard answer is "whatever someone is willing to pay" is what something is worth--especially in the LEGO market. I'd say that getting *any* Pirates or Islander set MIB at MSRP or less than MSRP is a good deal. best Lindsay (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

  Value of 6264

How much is a 6264 worth(I don't want to sell it, I just want to know how much its worth). I recently bought one for a dollar less than MSRP, which was mint in box, except it was missing the canoe. Was this a good deal? Alan Random set:<set:8512> (25 years ago, 17-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Why did they quit making shooting cannons in the US?

(...) Yes, you can take these cannons apart. there are two small holes on each side of the rear of the cannon that you can push a paper clip into to release the clips. dont use a lot of pressure as you might damage the clips inside. I got a black (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Why did they quit making shooting cannons in the US?

Ah, that explains why, after collecting all five lions to make my Voltron, I saw a foreign import version which had little missile launchers that popped out all over, but mine didn't. (They were virtually the same toy besides that...my Blue Lion (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Why did they quit making shooting cannons in the US?

(...) In the late 70's, there was a paranoia against any toy that fired projectiles in the US, which came fom incidents revolving around the Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper and Cylon Raider toys, which shot little missles that got lodged in (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

Why did they quit making shooting cannons in the US?

Does anyone know why they quit distributing the shooting (spring action) cannons in the US? They were really pretty slick, and had a great range. Those little babies would shoot 4 feet easy. I lucked out and have about eight. But i have close to 10 (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) Dave, the Wild West Weapons Wagon has six (IIRC) black 1x2 plates with side L-peg but the peg points up. I have used many of these plates for spar attachments and just hung the spars upside-down. As long as they hold a sail I don't care which (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.pirates)
