  The Marathon

Ahoy again mates. My second go around at a ship, I was able to throw some ideas I had after I finished the Corinthian into this. I think it looks better not being as tall and being longer, but I'd be interested in hearing everyone else's opinion as (...)   LEGO ships instead of regular game bits

John K made lego ships that fit on the (URL) board just fine. (URL) More pictures: (2 URLs) (18 years ago, 2-Aug-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: nearly done my frigate..oops!

(...) As far as the rigging goes, what you have on the foremast looks great. Unfortunately, there's not an easy way to turn groups of stays into ratlines... and if you use Lego ratlines further aloft, the lower rigging will look oddly thin. I've (...) (18 years ago, 28-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates)

doesn't do much good if you don't put the link eh? (URL) (18 years ago, 27-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates)

  nearly done my frigate

Well after my frigate being dismasted and wrecked by the twin storms Joshua and Riley (my two boys) my ship is once again nearing completion. Still working on the rigging and the captain's cabin. What do you think? any suggestions for the rigging? (18 years ago, 27-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: AHHRR! NCLUG does a Pirate Display...

(...) WOW - that is very cool stuff. Both me and my kids had a great time at looking at all the pics! Thanks for sharing them with us. Mark (URL) (18 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: The brig Seatop

(...) Thanks, Sean. Once twelve cannons are squeezed into the main deck, there's not much space left for detail (though there is some for recoil!). And the after part of the Seatop is mostly filled with supports for the deck and the angled (...) (18 years ago, 13-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: The brig Seatop

(...) That is a really nice looking ship. I like the slanted cabin in the back, it was an effect I had tried to do on my ship originally but lacked the pieces (or at least the patience to find the pieces) for it. The colors flow well also, I haven't (...) (18 years ago, 13-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: The brig Seatop

(...) Thanks, Richard. Perhaps it's time for Port Block to get involved in the arms race? (...) (Un)Fortunately, much of what is afloat is in Port Brique, awaiting an upgrade! Cheers Richie Dulin (18 years ago, 13-Jul-06, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

  Re: The brig Seatop

(...) Thanks very much, Bob! Though I must point out the Seatop is based on a 'prefab' lego hull. (...) Well, I did build the 32 gun frigate, Misérable - you may have read about it in BrickJournal, Issue 3. But the Seatop uses a few styling advances (...)
