1788 Pirates Chest US only?

I'm not much of a pirate myself but my interst broadened from Adventurers to
Islanders (as that's a little close to the Adventurers Amazon Jungle theme).
And from the Islander sets, I found the 1788 Pirates Chest which is co-hosted by
the Islanders. So I bought a used but complete Pirates Chest on eBay. The set
had a non-shooting cannon ofcaurse, as it was sent to me from the US.
As I looked up if the set was also issues with a firing cannon, I couldn't find
any informatio about that. Peeron only listed the non-firing one and also other
Pirate sites.
Therefore I decided to put my question up here: can anybody tell me if the 1788
set was a US-set / Northern America set only, or was it also released with
shooting cannon in Europe?
