Just a quick post to show the latest in Port Briques defenses, the gunboat
Sentinelle du Brique:
Temporarily equiped with an 18 pounder (yikes!) until a purpose built 9 pounder
carronade can be cast at Port Brique Foundry, all concerned are keeping their
fingers crossed that she doesnt need to fire a shot. Even with a half-charge,
the little gunboat isnt going to take it well.
The gunboat uses the 1x1 rounds-strengthened-by-a-flex-tube mast technique that
was used for the mizzen on the Digne. Other than that, its fairly standard
6-wide construction - although I am quite pleased with the stern, which uses a
combination of 45° and 33° inverse slopes and 3x3 angle bricks.
Cheers
