Now that I have an apartment which has floor space, I've been thinking of hosting a Pirate Fest at my place (near Portland Oregon) some weekend to play a very long campaign of Evil Stevie's Pirate Game. (...) Can I offer I suggestion on your cannon made of 2x2 rounds? Try a freestyle four stud wheelhub (conveniently available in grey) in place of the 2x2 round at the cannon mouth, to give a smooth end to the gun. I used that for my carronade (see (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) Hey Ken, Thanks for the comments! I think the gun will be mounted on my port town and not in any ship. I'm not sure the ship could withstand the recoil of such a weapon. I'm hoping to maybe have a twin gun to go with it. I like your rating of (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)

There's a calculator for these things? Oh my, I've been working under the 1 stud = 1 foot system (based on the principle that each fig foot is one stud, and so one 'imperial' foot). I'm working from 'The Line Of Battle' (Conway's History of the (...) (22 years ago, 26-Jul-02, to lugnet.pirates)
