Hello Bruce,

On 07-Jan-02 (Monday) you wrote:

I was still trying to figure out what "condignational" means!  :-)

Er... well... I thought I've heard this word in English... :)
Condignation=floor.
Arrr, it's swabbin' the condignation for you, me hearty, arrr arrr etc :)
I must admit I've never heard it either.

It's very nice. What struck me though was that the foremast and
mainmain do not appear to be parallel. Is this illusion,
intentional, or simply because you bumped one before you took the
picture? I ask because quite often galleons had a foremast raked
towards the bow and it was something I have been thinking about
doing.

Unfortunatelly, it was unintended, I've just lost somewhere my mast
base, so the foremast is attached provisional to the deck.
But thank you for this idea! Now I've realized that it is exactly
as you're saying.
I never seem to have enough mast bases, so sometimes I just use a 2x2 tile
with the technic pin sticking out the top.  I know this works for the
top-mast pieces, don't know about the bottom mast piece...

Incidentally (and here comes the drifting off bit, folks)I did this for the
forward-most mast on the 'Millenium Parrot' of which there are now some
rather cruddy images on brickshelf:

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=10095

Since Cap'n Hans Ollo is constantly modifying the 'Parrot', these pictures
are hopelessly out of date.  The ship now has another square sail, flaps for
the cannons (though only two can be stored inside at a time - you try
fitting four guns into a single narrow centre-section!), and a skeleton
figurehead.

Soon (ish) I'll take some more recent pics and put them on a web page, with
a simple story n'stuff.  Then I'll have something I feel I can truly
announce on .announce.moc :)

Fare ye well, landlubbers,

Michael Dallaston.
