Re: Pirate Accessory packs at UK shop-at-home

(...) Now, now, considering how much the US AFOLs annoy the Austraila/New Zealand contingent by getting things in good time, all's fair. (...) And US-AFOL in Europe! :) I ordered a mere 24, just enough to keep myself happy. Oh, and four baggies of (...) (23 years ago, 5-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) Actually, until they actually ship the order, I presume there's a large chance they'll say, "Oops! We just ran out before we filled your order." And since I presumed someone simply tripped over a random box of the goodies and they were in (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Pirate Accessory packs at UK shop-at-home

The UK Lego Shop-at-Home has a number of Pirate accessory packs available (and a few shown, but listed as not available). 5058, 5150, and two different cannon packs, one shown with wheels, and one shown without wheels (but listed as "Cannon with (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  My ! That's a big hat !

I bought a second-hand 6265 recently and happened to be showing my NLSO the minifig images on the instructions and was amazed at the scale of the tri- corner hat to the soldier in 6265-01.jpg (Brickshelf). parts-out-pete (a quiet Friday evening, (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Are 6259 and 6267 Soldiers or Imperial Guards?

You have some fine pionts and I agree with you Jon. I think that Lego would never show the blue and red actually fighting each other. Just the privateers. Maybe Todd has just taken it from the Pause guide: (URL) the Fibblesnork guide supports my (...) (23 years ago, 4-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

(...) "Is this the *Landshark*?" "No, no, sir, only a dolphin." (...) No doubt! I'll have to stay on the beam ends of Jim's monster, or else do something crazy like have a steel hull. ;) But then again, how would a steel hull ever float? That's (...) (23 years ago, 3-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Are 6259 and 6267 Soldiers or Imperial Guards?

Christian, I've asked this question in this newsgroup on several occasions, and I'm Afraid there are no definitive answers. At some point Lego decided that the soldiers should switch colors, and it appears that the switch didn't necessarily happen (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Are 6259 and 6267 Soldiers or Imperial Guards?

While searching for pirate sets I noticed that 6259 Broadside's Brig and 6267 Lagoon Lock-up are listed as belonging to the Imperial Guards. Shouldn´t they be under Soldiers? The 4 sets under Soldiers was released in 1989 and 1990. They all sport (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Wow, that thing is huge! Incredible details. I really like the stairway going from the rear deck down to the captain's cabin. I like the clever use of chains all over it too. Thanks for Sharing, Jason (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Big pirate ship

Hi, I'm rather new to this AFOL. I came in on Feb 14 as a way to help me quit smoking because my wife is pregnant (Lego costs about the same as smoking and is just as addictive). I had been buying Lego out of my comic book store for a few years and (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.pirates) !

Re: Da Grund Fleet is #1

(...) Yes and no. The two I had planned on were the two Wolfpack ships. I did do a third one in yellow and green. I will be needing to work up some different cutter designs though, the 6277 cutter has some parts which are difficult to get in a good (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.pirates)
