news of Piratefest, though I'm not sure how big it will be.

Piratefest, I like that idea. I would attend Brickfest if work allowed the
time off. If floorspace was not at a premium, Brikwars could be combined
with Piratefest or vice versa. The best of all possible outcomes would be
the inclusion of several events at Brickfest similiar to "The Gathering"
Castle World event. If I am correct there was a posting about possible
BrikWars events among other attractions at the next Brickfest.  I know I
sound like a master of the obvious  but larger numbers of participants would
provide revenue for bigger facilities and the chance to continue meeting on
an annual or semi-annual basis. I have noticed an enjoyable increase in the
number of Lego meetings and events that parallels the way most gaming
conventions get started. I cannot see how we would be any different.  The
possibility of regional conventions showcasing Castle World, BrikWars,
Mecha, and other events. I know the railroad contingent in Lugnet already
attend train shows and conventions and I hope we can start a tradition of
Lego shows to call our own.

Remember the larger the gathering the better the trading opportunities.
