  Re: Help!

(...) What's this about using bricks to extend the hull? I'm new to Pirate and ship building (actually using the boats for castle). How do you do this, I haven't even see a boat-hull in recently, and the only time I did, I was about seven. How do (...) (23 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Help!

(...) Yes, Free is great! Others not interested in the hobby? how could they! :) i have a bunch of friends with a bunch of lego, and they dont even use it and they wont give it to me(or sell it) they are all like "What would you want it for?" oh (...) (23 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Help!

(...) I think masts and rigging are harder to get, but then I'm not a purist, and I'd be willing to cut up muslin for sails. I even used the Weapons Wagon cover for a sail on my daughter's boat. George (23 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Help!

(...) I have to agree with the free part, I'm already getting baseplates and parts from others who are not interested in the hobby. I will make sure to get all the accessories, and not any Paradisa peoples, unless they are free. Rob (...) (23 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Help!

(...) I've already got about 20 mini-figs, and they are already in my castle's town, but I think I can aquire more. It sounds like most of the sails are destroyed, and that has been bothering me. I have to think of a way to make sails! Rob (...) (23 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Help!

(...) Rob: I would suggest you take a look at brickshelf.com, and check out the instructions for all the pirate, etc. ships that are there. Many parts you might need/want will be shown, as well as how they are incorporated into the final products as (...) (23 years ago, 16-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Help!

(...) Any parts that are free are important. Free is good. Cheap is good too, fut free is far fuperior. Of course, make sure you have enough midsections (or the bits to make your own), some lattice windows (arched or 1x4x3 shutter-frames), cannon, a (...) (23 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Help!

(...) I'm not a real big Pirate-head but SAILS, from what I have seen (unless you are including them in the masts) you need the sails. I believe that they would be the second hardest part to get after the hulls, perhaps even harder to find than the (...) (23 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Help!

Hi All! I'm in a situation where I can obtain several pirate hulls for very cheap -or- free. In addition to the hulls and masts, what parts are really important to the ships? Please give me your opnions. Rob robo2705@hotmail.com (23 years ago, 15-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

I want to make some sails

Avast Mateys! (or some such something...) I'm just now getting into some pirate sets, but I keep ending up without sails. I'm sure this has come up a million times, but is there a repository of full size scans or outlines of the various sails for (...) (23 years ago, 14-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

WTB-1993 Lego Pirates set 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner MISB

  Re: Different/exchanged heads

I exchange heads all the time. In the interests of equal opportunity, I like to have lots of female minifigs, so I am always interested in acquiring more female heads which I can put onto the torsos. I am using the Star Wars minifigs in castle (...) (23 years ago, 12-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.pirates)

Re: Truth in Advertising - an honest man!

(...) I was looking because I discovered one last MIB Crossbone Clipper hiding in my closet (and one last Redbeard Runner and one last Armada Flagship). Why in the world people bid so much for them is a mystery I'll never understand. TimeTwisters (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

  Re: Sticker Flags

hi Tom, It takes about 1 minute to translate a beautifull Pirate, or blue or red-guys flag into a perfect white one, without any visible deformation. Some knowledge about ABS and chemicals and voilá ...! And you need inferior paint, exactly the type (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: Truth in Advertising - an honest man!

(...) I've never gotten less than $50 for one of those sets. It may be ugly, but it's not a *bad* set. And besides, I thought the ugliest set ever would have to be one of the vaunted Time Losers monstrosities (except the ship and maybe the big (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Ugliest Set Ever? (Was Re: Truth in Advertising - an honest man!)

(...) That's the ugliest Pirates set ever? I thought it was <set:6720 Forbidden Island>. Sure, its a classic, but it seems poorly designed. Stairs leading into the ocean???? It doesn't come close to being the uglist set in any theme ever, I can (...) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates, lugnet.general)

Truth in Advertising - an honest man!

This is not a plug to sell anything - this auctions is over, anyway. Note the listing - Crossbones Clippers haters may get a chuckle out of it. (URL) (23 years ago, 11-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)

Re: My first post: a question, and nostalgia :)

Hi, what might you be looking for to trade the (non-mint) sails? I don't have any complete sets and certainly none of my Lego is mint since I haven't bought very much in years. Most of it is from when I was a kid and is played with pretty heavily. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Apr-01, to lugnet.pirates)
