Evening all,

Just a quick note of thanks and appreciation for James Howse' and Paul
Baulch's efforts in bringing another ship to the dock at Port Block.

A new two masted, two centre sectioned, six gunned naval vessel stands
moored, awaiting provisioning.

This is an Imperial Flagship with an extra section.  Like the BSB, this was
a good ship to begin with, so beyond the section, an second mast and fixing
the rigging, not a lot has changed in the Port Block refit.  And really -
these changes are fairly easy stuff - for me the hard part is always the
fore and aft castles

Having been brought up on RBRs and AFs, I am just amazed.  The difference
between these earlier ships and the later ones is staggering.  I have had to

Eli Donati was telling me that he thought there had been a change in
designers, that perhaps the genius who knocked out the early ship designed
may have passed away, and his place taken by mere mortals.

Anyone else know anything firm about the reasons for the change?

Oh and thanks to Paul also for the lower mast piece.  The Saucy Sue has been
returned to her former wet navy glory, and re renamed Sea Princess, ready
for her return to the slave trade around the Pacific.

Richard
Still baldly going...

(...) Well the RBR and the AF clearly are designed to have "action" features. These features clearly compromise the design. 6250 was just so cut in number of parts that there just isn't any way to make a decent ship of it (not to mention that the no (...)
