This is my first post on lugnet (actually it's the fifth, since I had
problems with post permission). I came upon lugnet not much ago, when
searching a LNP implementation for Linux (for non-rcx-fan people: that's
Mindstorm stuff); I didn't found exactly what I was looking for, but I
started to read some newsgroups. Now that I've setup my newsreader (hope
it's ok now) I can post too.
I am 26, study computer engineering in Milan, and use lego bricks since...
don't rember, I was too young :-). I grew up with technics sets and then I
put them aside in favour of computers (my first computer was an A500, it's
still in working condition, but in a corner of my room). I turned back to
work (really play) with lego for a project for a robotics course. That was
a little before Mindstorms came out. After Mindstorms appearance in Italy,
a friend of mine and I decided to use it in our thesis. Lego and computers
together are a big fun!
As you can imagine, english is not my native language; furthermore I never
really studied it, so what I know comes mainly from my practice with
computers and handbook, and some reading. Hope I've not made too many
grammar errors (spell can be checked on a dictionary, grammar not).
bye
Bernardo

| (...) Welcome! (...) Your english is better than my italian. You might want to check out some of the local italian groups, they are very active and, of course, in italian... but I hope you'll post to the other groups occasionally, at least! eric (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.people.newbie)
