Here’s the local paper’s article about me (front page news in these parts):

You’ll note that they got a few things wrong in the article, but overall, it’s
pretty good (for example, I didn’t say “LEGOs” a single time, yet that’s what he
wrote whenever I said “LEGO”).
I made sure to give a shout-out to LUGNET, of course.
The local TV station also came by and did a piece; they aired it this morning
and also had me in the studio for some live stuff during the broadcast. I have
the VHS tape for it and will bring it to BrickFest PDX--there was some high
comedy invovled when the anchorlady destroyed the microphone I had built for the
in-studio bits. Thankfully, they didn’t have the camera on me when she dropped
it; I’m sure that image would have been priceless. Fixing it gave me something
to do; each time they came back to me, I had a bit more put together, and by the
last segment, I gingerly let her hold it again.
All in all, I had a great time, and they asked me to give them an update after
Friday’s competition (I assured them that I wouldn’t be the winner). And I
didn’t look nearly as bad on TV as I thought I would...
