[aside-- everyone seems to remember playing with lego around 12... most of the
roll call inner child ages are like 10-14... am I a freak for putting 8.5?]

Actually, yeah! I'd guess that women would be more attracted to my love of Lego
than my other interests... other SO's I've had never could get into computer
programming and Star Wars... they think those things are boring as all get-out.
(Although many women do like SW... and precious few like computers) But Lego
they can appreciate. If I build something cool out of Lego, it's more like art
than a toy. And if I build something ugly... well, then it's just modern art!
Anyway, I think addiction to Lego is quite a redeeming quality. It shows
dedication to something (even if it is to a product), self confidence (unless
you're a closet AFOL... it takes some self-respect and courage to admit your
Lego addiction to strangers), and creativity... not to mention playfulness...
all of which I'd say are good qualities...

Yep... my gf has absoloutly no problem with my AFOL-ness. Although she's not
particularly enthused with my spending habits on it!

| (...) Haha :) (...) Than that's a surprise that she took the Lego thing so majorly [1] and based her decisions off that. (...) Well, 99% of my friends know I'm an AFOL, and they're ok with it. Girls I go out with know that too. Yeah some people (...) (25 years ago, 20-Dec-99, to lugnet.people)
