  IR train base alternative

Hey all, Well I’m at it again. This time I bring you something with more usability. As most of you reading this should know the Lego Company recently released 2 IR train sets. While the idea is great, the implementation left much to be desired. The (...)   Part Mods - Baseplates and Technic parts

A few part mods for the brave: I decided that buying 32x32 baseplates and cutting them in two was cheaper than buying twice as many 16x32 baseplates. The question is how to make a reliable straight cut. I've used 4x8 plates for rigidity and slider (...)   Modded Bk/Yw Striped Tiles for Train Loco Ends

A few keen-eyed Brickshelf followers might have noticed my latest parts mod, cutting up the 1x4 black and yellow striped tiles in order to make the chevron patterns for loco ends. I used a Stanley knife, followed by a thin modelling saw to cut them (...) (18 years ago, 30-May-06, to lugnet.parts.mod, lugnet.trains, lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Modifed Classic Space helmet for town use.

(...) You jokestah! Well, just in case you are serious: Nothing for the airpacks, but I was fortunate - my first couple of space sets had torso stickers rather than printing, so I just peeled the stickers off and - hey presto - plain torsos!! Cheers (...) (19 years ago, 25-Feb-06, to lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Re: Modifed Classic Space helmet for town use.

(...) Excellent idea Richie. I plan on opening my MISB 6702 and modding all the helmets in there. Do you by any chance have a mod to do something useful with the original airpacks and classic space torsos? Tim (19 years ago, 24-Feb-06, to lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Modifed Classic Space helmet for town use.

Way back in 1979, I was worried about the possible replacement of the Legoland town stuff that I loved with the newcomer, Legoland Space. Sure it was nice to get lots of grey, but, at the time, I was convinced there were too many specialised parts. (...)   Re: Harold Flies! Worship my Photoshop Skilz!

(...) Oh, yeah, check that out! I'm pretty Duplo ignorant, but it was fun building with big legos! I dig'em:-) JOHN (19 years ago, 2-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.duplo, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

(...) No comment ;) (...) That's a very neat mod, well done! (...) Well (URL) that element> isn't really new, but the Cranky set looks pretty cool too. I think some of my friends' kids might be getting those sets when we finally see them here. ROSCO (19 years ago, 2-Feb-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.duplo, lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)
