Has anyone looked into this for making custom parts: (URL) It looks like pretty good stuff and could be a fairly cheap way to turn out medium-sized batches of hard plastic parts. Of course the tricky bit is making the mold... I haven't thought of a (...) (21 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts)

(...) I agree. One note, this may be suited for parts.custom rather than just parts. Jason, who responded elsewhere in the thread has a fair bit of experience with .stl files for parts now, I think... (...) It might work, depending on what you are willing to pay for parts. Also it's worth noting that someone with access to a cad program would have to help, converting .dat files to .stl can make ugly .stl files. I've had experience with (URL) this (...) I haven't run the prices yet, but could (URL) portend a source of original MOC parts? (URL) the website. It's a cool idea in any case. Dave! (21 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.off-topic.geek, FTX)

(...) Joe, I own many 8455 backhoes. You can also buy pneumatics at bricklink.com. Once you get some pneumatics, you might want to look at a few sites that feature pneumatics: www.kclague.net (URL) (...) Kevin (21 years ago, 21-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts, lugnet.robotics)

It does not include any small cylinders and it uses only new studless Technic liftarm parts, no studded beams. Personally, it's one of my all time (...) If I wanted to get started with LEGO pneumatics, how would I go about it? A search at the S@H site turned up no hits in the parts or kits, and even Dacta seems to have only one kit: (URL) ...which might be OK, but it's pretty limited, and contains a (...) (URL) was looking at the pieces just to the right of the 1x1 transparent cylindrical plate that faces front as the light. [I'm guessing the 1x1 sticks into the hole of a 1x1 Technic brick, like the Santa Fe?] They look somewhat like the angle/shape (...) (21 years ago, 16-Aug-04, to lugnet.parts)
