I had started working on the 8-blade propellor part awhile back, and just did
some more work on it recently. (This is one of the parts that I alluded to in
this post.) Because I was learning how to
author parts, it is still in rough condition. I’ve got the general shape mapped
out, but I have to correct a few key measurements and finish defining some of
the surfaces.
I am hesitant to share the file at this stage because it is not really useable
in its present form, and would probably not be easy for someone else to take
over. I am working on it again, and may have something better within the next
week or two. But if you are really anxious to get it, let me know and I’ll
shoot you a copy of what I have so far.
I don’t know if it would be helpful to submit such a mediocre work-in-progress
part to the tracker, but could do so if people think that’s a good idea. (I
didn’t claim this part in the tracker originally because it is mostly a learning
process for me, and I didn’t want to prevent someone who actually knows what
they’re doing from taking a stab at it.)
