(...) Hmm... I have been luke warm about the IR-controled battery-powered trains; however, it had occured to me that I could use this system to run a trolley on the same line as a train, but then I thought of something. All of my trolleys are single (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.it.itlug, lugnet.parts)

(...) Already done, I did some experiments using some of the old 4.5v track. (URL) I ran metal foil tape on top of the platic rails. The tape is tin plated copper for use in stain glass. The train motor ran fine. And with the new plastic track I (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.it.itlug, lugnet.parts, FTX)

(...) (URL) The more and more I see of the RC/IR train line the more I like it. The sets look to be well-engineered, fun to build, not junior-ized, both have seemingly good parts and it looks easy to hack. Ok the last part doesn't really matter to (...)
