Just don't shell them all the way through like an LDraw part - the whole peak and a good part of the surrounding area could eiter be solid ABS (or some kind of rib or enclosure structure) for strength.    (...) snip I have thought of this off-and-on over the time since I've read this: Make all the arches as half-arches, like the 1x5x4 arch. That would eliminate the stress point problem. Larger arches, too, like 12-stud+ spans. Also in round (...) (17 years ago, 28-Apr-07, to lugnet.parts, FTX)
