I'm willing to give a couple of presentations.  What sort of presentations
does everyone want to have?  I'm starting to dig into the internals of the
RCX, standard firmware and NQC.  Does anyone want a presentation on that?

I think the important part with this is to have a format where presentations
are encouraged and time is made available for it.  It should deffinately be
driven by people volunteering.

Perhaps at a meeting the idea could be brought up & ideas brainstormed for
presentations.  Then those ideas could be ranked & volunteers could be asked
for.  If anyone steps forward then the presentation could be scheduled.

Unfortunatly I'll not be at the next meeting.  But if people would like a
presentation on RCX/standard firmware or NQC internals, you can put me down
as a volunteer.  The following meeting is in Sept, right?  I could do it
then, or probably any of the following regular meetings.

A few questions:

What are the AV options available?  Is there anything that a laptop could
be hooked up to so that everyone can see it?  If that isn't available then
how about an overhead projector?

How long do people want the presentations to last?  1/2 hour?

How technical would you like a presentation?

I think it would be great if we had some presentations or something like
that to help us learn more about mindstorms and how to do cool things with them. • <snip>

Personally I think it's a really good idea. The only question is, who is
going to do the presentations? Volunteers are required. I don't want to have
the same two or three people doing these over and over, it's not fair to
them, as it can take a fair amount of work to put something together for
presentation.

What do other people think? Would *you* be willing to volunteer for a small
presentation once in a while? I think it's a good idea to go back to talking
a bit more about our robots we've created, what do you (all) think?
