Hey James,
Thanks for a fabulous sum-up.

This is a good line of reasoning - I hope NELUG takes that in mind.

Definitely. Too bad many people rushed into the debate hot-headed - I
personally steered away for the first few hours because I knew if I'd get into
the debate, I'd be off my rocker VERY quickly and that would not help me or
anyone else.
I suggest everyone who got mad in/about this thread to take a few deep
breaths... to stand back... to remember the people they're talking to are
normally very nice. :-)
I hope that when the NELUG members discuss this, they try not to think about
the insults that were said here (and unfortunately there were)... but instead
about the constructive suggestions and about the possibilities that would be
beneficial to both sides. And I think it *is* possible to reach such a
decision - I hope they sincerely try (and I believe they will).

<sigh>
Yes, and that was really too bad. Looking back, I see that perhaps a personal
email would've been better. Then again, it might not've been taken to heart. I
guess I'll never know.

You could say so... although I wouldn't choose the word "unfair". Perhaps
misguided or disappointing.

Exactly. Thanks for the great summing, James.

I'm trying ;-)
