I think this is a possibility... I am considering redoing some of my
buildings as well. I know that the 6 stud sidewalks are not as
desirable as the 8 wide sidewalks on the old baseplates. That said if
we redo some buildings we could build them back 2 studs to get the 8
wide sidewalks using the new baseplates. We would have to figure out a
transition for those buildings that don't change however.
I personally like the looks of the new baseplates overall. I think we
should either try and buy as many of the old baseplates as we can now or
we should at least talk about transitioning.

| I have a question to throw out there and this seems like a good time to bring it up... For our layouts, do we want to switch over to the new road plates? I'm not sure how difficult it is to get the older ones at this point, but clearly over time, (...) (22 years ago, 9-Apr-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
