Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Chris Phillips
(...) I have been working on making a few more RCX-automated railroad crossings. If you can believe it, I don't have enough of a few critical parts to make too many more! I have most of the important stuff, but I might have to borrow a few choice (...) (24 years ago, 21-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Tom Duggan
Well, i have a crossing already built, it just needs to be motorized. I will bring it to the next meeting (whenever that may be, hopefully before the show), and let you take a look at it to see what I need to do to make it compatable with the (...)         Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Chris Phillips
(...) I just posted building instructions for my motorized railroad crossing lift-gates on BrickShelf: (URL) working on a set of instructions for my lighted "railroad crossing" sign next. I eventually hope to tie it all up with a formal write-up (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Tom Duggan
(...) Chris, I've gone through my peices, and have enough peices to make two full crossings, the only problem is that I only have one micro-motor. Does any one have any extras that they want to sell, or just let me borrow for the show? Or does any (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Suzanne D. Rich
(...) I have a bunch of micromotors and, I believe, parts to make two more gates if you need them. -Suz (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Tom Duggan
(...) Suz, That would be great! I am in need of three motors. I believe we will be having a NELUG meeting before the show, if you could bring them there it would be great. Otherwise, let me know and I will get them somehow. According to the layout (...) (24 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Eric Kingsley
(...) Well I am not going to be much help with the Crossings. I have no micro motors and no flashing lights. I have some parts to make the arms but those are probably the easiest parts to get at the moment. I do have one of the Gray ramp pieces if (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Eric Kingsley

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Eric Kingsley
(...) Doh! My bad. I still have my one to loan :-(. Why are these so darn rare? They are a great part! Eric Kingsley (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Suzanne D. Rich
(...) If you mean the 1x4 double flashing type, I have at least one black one here. I don't recall what set had them, but I have a feeling they're not around any more. I'm starting to think here.. Maybe there are other things I can lend out. I'd (...) (24 years ago, 25-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Chris Phillips
(...) Yes, the 1x4, dual-bulb, flash-when-you-rever...e-polarity lights. Preferably in black, because this looks best in the model. I got the four that I own by purchasing UFO sets (forget the set number offhand... 6000-series IIRC) at a KB Toy (...) (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Tom Duggan
(...) If you can't get enough cylinders, I have a pair of the old lift gates from SET 4539. They are a single piece with a weight at the end, and work rather well with the micro motors. Tom D (24 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Chris Phillips
(...) More info on my source for 1x4 dual-bulb light elements -- I got mine in <set:6979> Interstellar Starfighter, which comes with 289 pieces including UFO hull pieces, a fiber optic setup, and the aforementioned dual lighting element. This set (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Re: Greenberg Train Show 3/31-4/1 Willmington MA —Tom Duggan
Well, for that price, I guess my crossings can do without the flashing lights! On a related note, Chris Leach has graciously offered to loan us about 15 straight peices of monorail track for the layout. I sent him out a check for shipping the other (...)
