Don’t get me wrong--I think MichLUG does some great shows. I’ve seen the galleries of pics from several of your shows, and I think they’re all marvelous layouts.

But why on earth do people spotlight the post that says that MichLUG is going to display?! There hasn’t even been a display yet. I completely understand when people spotlight the post that has the links to a gallery full of awe-inspiring and mind-blowing LEGO creations. (I’m usually one of them.) It’s the fact that people spotlight a post announcing a future display that hasn’t even been set up yet that baffles me.

(...) Hmm, not sure. MichLUG isn't the only club that ends up getting this treatment. Could be that spotlighted posts get more attention, so maybe it is about letting more people see that it's coming. Good point though, I'll probably hold off for (...) (...) To draw the lurkers out. We have gotten some new members over the years from people coming to shows and getting drawn in. In at least one case it was because they saw a post on LUGNET. MichLUG has been invited to display at the Motor City Comic Con for a third time now. We will have a Moonbase layout with 10 regular sized modules and 4 super sized modules. Along with a monorail, many lading pads and ships galore there will be 75 (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.loc.us.mi, lugnet.org, lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, FTX) !!
