Mark & All,

That's a great looking station.

Thanks! It was a lot of hard work and a lot of $$, but I am very pleased
with it.

It really captures the look and feel of those
huge new stations built beside the freeways in Australia - totally different
to those baby neighbourhood stations which Lego models its stations on.

Yes, indeed. I got the 125x series of sets that LEGO made for Shell, and was
pretty disappointed on how small it seemed, espeically with the bigger
stations that have been built recently. So I set off to build something more
realistic. I think that 125x Shop can fit into my shop twice over. : )
I have never really liked the gas stations that LTC has made, from te 6375
Exxon Station to the Shell Station to the Octan station, I never felt that
they really represented, at least, American gas Stations, and even the ones
in Europe (I was in Germany twice)

I particularly like the icebox, the way you do the lights using the rounded
bricks, and the tank refilling points. You have obviously spent way too long
around service stations - I can almost smell the gasoline!

LOL! : ) Well, I do a lot of driving, especially since I moved to South
Bend, Indiana from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I think my average drive time to any
event is about 2.5 hours, so I see a lot of gas stations. I have also had a
lot of jobs where I had to commute too, so that doesn't help either. I am
slowly recovering form being a gas station addict! Thanks for the comments!
