To All,
Well, well, did I have somE building fun the last few days.
I forgot to print out the suggestions I have received for my GT engine, so I
am working on the interior to the Shell Station. I am using the typical red
doors, with the two bars on it for the drink coolers, on the west side of
the shop.
I am setting it up to be a total of three bricks in depth, and to have about
three shelves for each door. It is about 7 bricks high. I am having a total
of 7 doors there. So I am setting up 4 on one side, 3 on the other, with a 2
stud divider inbetween. The doors will be right next to each other, so I can
maximize space. So I am building the shelves, one plate high, then a brick,
and another plate, so the 1x1 cylindrical bricks can fit inside nicely. I
get it up to the hit of the door, and I use a 1x3 brick to hold the door in
each location, and wrap it up on top to secure them. So that is going well,
the door is still open, so I do all 4 doors on one side, get it ready, and
try to close them. They won't close!!!! I put a 1x1 brick on each shelve so
it stabilizes the door, and the lip on the door gets caught, so I had to rip
the whole cooler apart, and redo it so the 1x1 bricks are eliminated.
So I am finished now with the coolers, I put the 33D red slopes on top, it
looks pretty good, and I am now working on the fountain dricks dispenser.
All I have left to do is the floor, the sales stand, and some shelves, I
think that will do it. Then, onto the finishing of the train station
interior! : )
