Hello all,
Just got back from Toronto and the Train2 event. I think anyone from
Michlug who could have come would have enjoyed it very much.
Well on Friday I drove up and stopped at the Lego blocks and bricks outlet
(which is having a sale . . . 4 bucks Canadian for a green baseplate and
$100 U.S. for a 4561) I strongly suggest you take a trip up there. They
also have a website www.bricksandblocksoutlet.com
On Saturday my Mom, Dad, and I hopped in the van and brought my seven office
boxes of Legos to the event. The library which Train2 was located was easy
to find. The event was down in the basement, but we got some decent traffic.
Any who, you have probably read all the postings in rtlToronto so I will
make this brief. I reconstructed my white water tower into a blue with a
white trim water tower that stands several bricks higher which was displayed
at Train2. I brought along my VIA engine and 4561 remake cars. Everyone
enjoyed my little steam engine.
A ton of people including, Benjamin M., Calum T., Ian, Kevin, Jeff E and VW,
and a whole lot of other people.
As some of you might know Jeff E. brought an impressive hill with a tunnel
to allow trains to go through. Jeff VW brought a nice transfer table and
engine house, along with his sizable town.
Ian (to whom I do not know his last name) brought a flat bed car with a
digital camcorder strapped to it. The video footage he took is a must see
for anyone.
Ben M. brought a cool town to which I named "Ben's Town". He brought his
European soccer set along with a monorail, TGV and some recent town sets.
On Sunday I did a bit of railfanning to get some ideas for GATS.
I think all of Michlug would have enjoyed our neighbors to the north and the
excellent Train2.
