  Classic Space Pods!

Straight from 1979, a classic space pod! (Been building 'em since '79). [The Explor 2079 Rocket Pod] Although limited to 1 pilot, this pod design has been very popular for personal transport and even racing applications. Orginially designed as a (...)   Re: Picking a time & place

(...) Cool. Those should be very interesting. (...) We usually have 8-12 members (and 2-4 member's kids) at a meeting. As for a location, this was brought up a our meeting this past weekend and a few people were going to look into it. If it is a (...)   Re: Chicago Pick-a-Brick

(...) Sweet. I have a friend (he made it to the MichLUG meeting on Saturday) that may show up as well. Doesn't sound like any other Michigaders will be there though. (...) Sure, only like 30 minutes away. Slightly different selection. If you haven't (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.loc.us.il.chi, FTX)

  Re: Chicago Pick-a-Brick

(...) After looking at Ondrew's inventory, there is about a 90% chance I will be there (with LEGO friends from Indiana) on the 10th. We'd like to visit the other store, also. (Northbrook?) This time, I'd like to skip the long lunch in the expensive (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.loc.us.il.chi, FTX)

  Re: Chicago Pick-a-Brick

(...) The trip for me is more reasonable, about a 2hr drive. I probably wouldn't be able to justify making the trip as often as I do, but my wife likes shopping there, so I can get away with it. I will be there on April 10th and there was some talk (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.loc.us.il.chi, FTX)

  MichLUG April Meeting Report

Another meeting, although we had a strange run of last minute cancelations from members, we still had seven members in attendance and one guest. A number of interesting new creations were brought and our guest (John M. Knight) brought more than (...) (22 years ago, 5-Apr-04, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.loc.us.mi, FTX)

Re: My army on field training exercise

(...) Great looking army Ken! Any plans for them to have an enemy/rival military opponent aside from the armies of other people? Anyway these are mine. They're used to illustrate a fictional modern and near-future world conflict heavily based on (...) (22 years ago, 3-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)

Re: Picking a time & place

(...) May 1 might make the most sense from our point of view because we will have just finished the trash collecting event and could easily have our robots on hand to show off. As far as location goes, I wonder how many people typically show up for (...) (22 years ago, 3-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.lrgoaa, lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

Re: My army on field training exercise

(...) Thanks for all of us. You've just proved to my wife that my own obsession is quite "trivial" in comparison. lol John H. (22 years ago, 3-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: My army on field training exercise

(...) Hello Bruce, Thank you for cross-posting. I knew it could be done, but wasn't quite sure how. Also, since this is mostly an array of minifigs... and a couple vehicles, it really wasn't all that ... I dunno, MOCish.. or perhaps creative or (...)   Re: My army on field training exercise

(...) Hey Ken, I've seen and admired your military creations on Brickshelf over the years. Welcome to Lugnet. -I've cross-posted this over to lugnet.build.military, as most of your MOCs would be discussed there. Bruce (22 years ago, 2-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.michlug, lugnet.build.military)

Re: Picking a time & place

(...) Probably any dates are good with me. Presumably Spencer's might work .. but I can't volunteer someone else's house. I have an RCX 2.0 and I am interested in (safely?) hacking in a dc supply connector. Not sure this is something that might be (...)   Re: Picking a time & place

I'm interested in meeting. At this moment I don't have anything personal of robotics interest to show... I have a couple different line following programs from high school AP Computer Science students in robots of my creation... but nothing (...)   Picking a time & place

Ok, so we sorta came to a conclusion that having a meeting could be interesting. Now we need to figure out a date and location that works for both clubs. Date - I haven't polled the MichLUG members, so people are going to have express themselves (...) (22 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.lrgoaa, lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

My army on field training exercise

Finally sort of delurking here. I have had military stuff on brickshelf for some long time but haven't really posted them to lugnet... I don't recall anyway. My largest project to date is complete. (URL) (22 years ago, 1-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.us.michlug) !!

Re: LRGOAA & MichLUG Joint Meeting?

(...) Based on the general atmosphere regarding BIONICLE on LUGNET about a year ago, I didn't expect a warm reception at my first MichLUG meeting either, but I was pleasantly surprised (my one big complaint was the fact that it's quite possibly the (...)   Re: LRGOAA & MichLUG Joint Meeting?

(...) Without the benefit of knowing what was said in your forum (or who said it), we can't really comment on what might have been brought up there.   Re: LRGOAA & MichLUG Joint Meeting?

(...) MichLUG is about the LEGO experience in general, not any specific themes. Every member brings something different to the table. It's not just about Space, Castle, Pirates, BIONICLE, robotics, Sea Monkeys, sculpture, large-scale MOCs, or any (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.org.us.lrgoaa, lugnet.org.us.michlug, FTX)

Re: LRGOAA & MichLUG Joint Meeting?

Personally, I have about as much interest in building a lifelike train as Larry has in building a sumo robot. But that doesn't stop me from trying to attend any type of LEGO meeting (LUG, LTC, MUG, LRG, Brickfest...) I've made a couple trips to (...)
