Looks like they had a cute little GBC with about 17 modules at Legoworld 2005 (URL) here's a full-sized pinball machine, that appears to use at least 13 RCXs. (URL) (19 years ago, 24-Oct-05, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

Hi Steve, hi all (...) having been built by Philo and myself, plus a few by other friends. It was a big success. (...) The module was made by Greg Dykstal, but I can tell you a bit about it. I don't mean to say anything bad about it, but it was a "young" module, without a great deal of testing time.
