  Re: CFD: Subgroups for lugnet.org.us & lugnet.trains.org

(...) How about having each groups mailing list posted to/from their group? KL (27 years ago, 23-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us)

  CFD: Subgroups for lugnet.org.us & lugnet.trains.org

Watching the recent discussions in lugnet.org and lugnet.org.us has been a lot of fun. The groups are serving their purpose well as venues for sharing ideas on formation and nurturing of regional user groups/clubs. But I think there is still much (...)   WAMALUG Report and News

Friday was the opening of the Lego Outlet Store in Potomac Mills Shopping Center, and many members of the Washington Metro Area Lego User Group were there, eagerly anticipating it. When the clock chimed 10 o'clock, we were ready to rush in, only to (...) (27 years ago, 22-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.us.md, lugnet.loc.us.dc, lugnet.loc.us.va, lugnet.org.us)

Re: How to handle minors in "LUG's" was (Re: NELUG Turns 50!!)

(...) It sure would be unfortunate, IMHO, if any group ever didn't let Bram come to their meetings because of his age. I met Bram at MindFest last month, and if I hadn't known his age ahead of time, I'd have probably assumed he was 19 or 20. I'm (...) (27 years ago, 19-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us, lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Re: How to handel minors in "LUG's" was (Re: NELUG Turns 50!!)

(...) I don't have a problem with it. And since the meeting will be at my house, I guess that is all that really matters. :) And I'm sure that we will figure out some way to get you here. Troy (27 years ago, 19-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us, lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Re: How to handel minors in "LUG's" was (Re: NELUG Turns 50!!)

(...) The only thing I guess I would add hear is probably an obvious point. I think that this issue is one for each of the groups to solve on their own. I am sure that some groups will handle things different than NELUG and that is great. That way (...) (27 years ago, 19-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us, lugnet.loc.us.oh)

Re: How to handel minors in "LUG's" was (Re: NELUG Turns 50!!)

(...) I know my mom would not want to accompany me to any LUG meeting, but she wouldn't have a problem if I went by myself (I'm 17)... (...) I wonder if we should bring up the issue for GMLUG too... My name is on the members page, but I'm not (...) (27 years ago, 19-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us, lugnet.loc.us.oh)

(...) accompanied (...) After having participated in this thread for a few days now I have developed a bit of perspective on the issue if not on the legalities involved. If you are going to have a cutoff (which currently NELUG does see (URL) ) I (...) (27 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us)

Re: How to handel minors in "LUG's" was (Re: NELUG Turns 50!!)

(...) Check your local laws, but I'm fairly certain that the age of majority is 18 darn near everywhere. Most places, able to vote=legally responsible for self. James (URL) (27 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us)

Re: How to handel minors in "LUG's" was (Re: NELUG Turns 50!!)

(...) At what age would you say children *don't* have to be accompanied by an adult? Sixteen? Do you know of a legal basis for that kind of decision? Of course, we wouldn't want any child to come without permission. Jeff P.S. I'm wondering because (...) (27 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.org.us)
