Vancouver Legoâ Club to Display at Train Show
The Vancouver Legoâ Club announces it will be displaying at The Toy Train
Operating Society's Annual Convention and Train Show, to be held in Richmond
on Sunday August 5th, 2001. For over a year now, the Vancouver Legoâ Club
has been meeting on a regular basis to discuss anything Legoâ, show off the
latest Lego models as well as ingenious individual creations.
The Vancouver Legoâ Club's display at the The Toy Train Operating Society's
event will be approximately 18 feet by 13 feet, providing onlookers with a
spectacular view of Harry Potter's Hogwart's Express. Also featured are: a
large passenger train station, a freight yard, a working drive-in movie
theater, an animated gondola, a sky train and station, a functioning
streetcar trolley, a downtown core (with a hotel, open air market and lots
of other fabulous buildings), and approximately 120 feet of Legoâ train
track which will be home to numerous Legoâ trains of all types and fashions!
The Vancouver Legoâ Club, whose membership is predominantly adults,
regularly participates in public shows.
The Vancouver Legoâ Club's stunning display and other exciting exhibits of
the Annual Convention and Train Show can be witnessed on Sunday August 5th,
2001 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Richmond Inn, 7551 Westminster Hwy.
The cost of admission is $3 per person, and all are welcome to attend.
