This note came into my mailbox this morning:

Checkout www.hbc.com and do a site search for mindstorms
current price is 149.99

Only 56 left at this price.  Order it online and they hsould ship it for free
to any Zellers, Bay or Homeoutfitters for free.

Heck of a deal - thought you might know someone who could take advantage of
this.

Alan

^^^^^^^^

Did you mean to indicate that someone named Alan could take advantage of this
offer?

Or did you make some really wacky typo as you were signing your name to the
posting?  ;)

If you read the message, it says this note came into my inbox this morning.

Ah..... now I see the colon at the end of your first sentence.

I thought the body of the posting was just you paraphrasing, but I guess it was
a cut and paste job.  Ooops, sorry.  :)

It is a good deal.

  A
fellow named "Alan" wrote it to me, Alan being probably someone we met at the
show.  He also asked if I would give him a T-shirt for free for said
information, which I flatly gave him my best Eli Fidler-esque "BUT REALLY?  No."
I've only ever given free shirts to people who make major contributions to the
Lego community:  Brickfest, Brickshelf, Lugnet, Peeron. etc or as a prize, since
those shirts generally come out of my pocket.

And for the record, you certainly are good at working the crowd and giving
things away.  No sarcasm intended.

All the best,
Allan B.
