It's a good thought, and for a good cause too. The issue then comes, the
minute people pay for it, is, we are selling a product, namely, a show.
People expect then, a well organized, run, produced "event". What if only
four people show up with robots (SINCE NO ONE EVER TELLS US THEY ARE
COMING...grrr :) Then do we refund people's money?
There's also a lot of organization when it comes to organizing events with
little kids. We can barely keep up with setting rules and running existing
events with 20 adults. I don't think any of us know how to handle a room
full of youngsters.
The other issue, which is a topic of ongoing debate between Chris and I, is
that whether events shold have an attendance fee. It is my opinion that
people will not show up if we charge.
I don't really see this $48 charge as a big deal. I think of it as the
Street Performer Protocol: If you like it, and had fun, either as a
participant or a audience, chip in something. If not, I don't think we'll
go broke paying to keep renting rooms.

| I've just had a thought... And since it doesn't happen all that often, I thought I'd share it with everyone. It turns out that my old public school is having a fundraising campaign - craft sale, bake sale, garage sale, games etc. So it occured to me (...)
