From a balloon suspended over the top of the building by two (or
three) ropes. Imagine a "string tripod" holding a helium or hot-air
balloon with the camera pointing down as the building falls away from
you. Similarly. the ballon could be tethered to a brick so that as the
building falls, the camera follows it, but at a distance where the
camera won't be destroyed by the first piece of debris that hits it. I
can't think of any "safe" place within the building that this could be
done. It would be pointless to do this at all if the camera was
destroyed in the first three seconds.
