Iain and I went out to Cookstown Outlet Mall yesterday. It was pretty
neat-there's the Lego outlet store called Bricks and Blocks (run by the "Toy
Boys" (?), it says on the sign) which is, I suppose well known to rtlToronto
folks, part of the same set of stores as the one in St Jacobs etc.
There's an interesting set of stuff there-a reasonable collection of your
normal Lego sets. Some moderate sales, but nothing to write home about.
32x32 blue baseplates were $5.49-so I got two. I've never had blue
baseplates before, so it was a treat.
Iain found a very small Technic motorcycle set that had a number of bracket
pieces, for a few dollars. They also had UFO sets, Manas on display (but
out of batteries), and some clearance items like the Flash Speeder ($8.99)
aka Green Train Part Pack. But nothing better than Winners.
The best part of this store is the fact the have a lot of Lego branded
knicknacks like keychains, clocks, pen boxes, the kind of stuff you can find
at Legoland, the Ontario Place store (long gone) etc. That and you get a
Lego bag.
