So Steve--thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks for accepting the challenge.  :)

And this magellan thing?  it'll come.

Well, if you're looking for something to do in a couple weeks, (June 7th)
this may be worth looking into...

If you need any more info than this page provides, feel free to ask me...

By my count, there are already five LEGO robots showing up at that
event.  And, I suspect about two will actually work.  :)

I'll have pics up of my new NXT all terain caster'bot when I'm done my
business
travels.  For the record (since I don't want Steve to get too swelled an

was originally planning on using those exo-foce tires for a 'bot before I
saw
his green monster.

As much as I'd like to take credit for you and everyone else using those
wheels, the truth is that there was really no choice for a robot that drives
in the grass.  You could almost use the old Hailfire droid wheels.  But not

Dig out your NXT's, get a BT GPS and seriously enjoy the ride...  At least
you'll always know where you are.

welcome to the great outdoors...

Despite having all four of my sons' grandparents over most of this very
looooong weekend, I was able to get my robot out and drive it around my yard
a little.  I need to post some footage, and update my web page:

Until you interface the NXT with a GPS. K, that finally sold me on the NXT. Until this point, the NXT seemed to be the slightly spiffier yet more 'work-to-'bot-greatness ratio' of the RCX. Yes, though the NXT is work intensive to get any kind of (...) (16 years ago, 26-May-08, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
