Oh, come on. What kind of self-respecting pirate would be caught dead wearing
both a belt and suspenders at the same time? Seriously, what’s up with that?
I’ve only known a few people in my life who wear suspenders at all, not counting
their customary use with tuxedos of course. Pretty much all of them have had
mostly white hair, and all of them have omitted the belt as it is generally
unnecessary at that point.
