In my ongoing quest to get all the sets I *wish* I had when I was a wee one...
(Thankfully Jake found those space shuttles a few years back--that's still my
personal fav. and i'm still very thankful I got one of those....)
A few months back I got the 6991 space monorail from eBay, for which, again, I
was extremely pleased.
Then I won an NXT, new in box, and been having fun with that ever since...
I set my sights so something a little older--it's a technic set coveted by me
since I first saw it in(probably) the Transactor magazine many moons ago...
Yes, the 9700 interface.
Wanted it, but could never afford it.
When I saw one on eBay years ago, the guy wanted a thousand dollars just for the
9700 interface. Yeah, whatever--keep dreaming buddy.
However, an auction a few days ago--9700 with 9750--not only the interface, but
parts 'n pieces too!
And I got it for the low price of 100 bucks (ish)!!!
Yes I'm a geek.
Yes I'm going to haul out my old 8 bit computer system and see if it works!
Yes I'm wasting my time!
But eh, whatever :)
