So I was at a wedding a while back. The wedding favour to the people assembled
to join in the celebration of the couple was a LEGO set.
It was a specific set designed by the bride and groom, consisting of 2 2x8
bricks with the names of the couple and the date of the wedding, and a 'bride
and groom' minifig, and some flowers for the bride to hold.
Instructions were also provided, and I diligently put that display together.
Now one would assume by looking at this little LEGO display that there is some
significance to it--bride, groom, date stamp, etc, and would leave it well
enough alone.
but someone comes over to my workspace and reconfigures the display once in a
while--putting the brides face on the grooms torso, etc...
And when this someone has his kid here (sometimes on weekends he brings the brat
in) the kid goes to town and takes the whole thing apart, leaving the pieces
scattered on my desk, for me to find when I come in Monday morning.
In the past I've had the Discovery shuttle, some various mini star wars, and
bionicles when they're cheap displayed on my desk. Not all at the same
time--just one at a time.
However, having experienced the 'finding parts in my desk drawers' on monday
mornings, I've basically given up trying to keep anything LEGO-like at my desk
at work.
Eh, whatever.
Thought I'd share

| (...) Step 1 - warn co-worker that it would be nice if said kid keeps paws off. Step 2 - set up a NXT with US sensor to watch for an inturder, turning on a small concealed camera to get the evidence if needed. And if that doesn't work... Step 3 - (...)
