Hm. The monorail wheels are pretty smooth-- I wonder if you could use the big Lego fans to actually drive a little car forward... Hm. I’d guess the battery box would be WAY too heavy to make it move. And certainly not enough to make it go up slopes (maybe not turns either). Dang. I’d be interested in playing with that... I always thought it would be cool to have a fan-propelled Lego vehicle...

As for building it with the Lego monorail motor itself, that probably shouldn’t be too bad. IIRC you don’t have to use the monorail “base” pieces if you don’t want-- I think I had luck with a 1xN tile stuffed into the connection to the motor, and it worked fine.
