I just won on EBAY an original 1962 Canadian Samsonite Lego catalog (at an
absurdly low price).  This was the first Canadian Lego catalog ever produced,
the year Lego was first sold in Canada:

This catalog is identical to the very first USA Samsonite Lego catalog of
1961-62, shown here in Eric Strand's Website:

http://home.comcast.net/~strandee/v1867_2/

There are a 3 minor differences in these nearly identical catalogs.   1) the Canadian catalog is twice the size of the USA catalog.  It shows one side in English, the other side in French.  2) the Canadian catalog shows prices in Canadian dollars.  The largest set #725 Town Plan is $25 in USA and $27.50 in Canada.  Other set prices vary as well.  3) Because the spare parts packs are 50 cents (same price as in USA) most spare parts packs have fewer parts... Example:  Macaroni bricks, 33 count in USA parts pack, 27 count in Canadian spare parts pack.

Because USA/Canada Lego catalogs were always included in the spare parts packs
shown in 1960's catalogs, they still exist in decent quantities.

So Canadian (and USA) Lego collectors should keep an eye out for these "ancient"
pieces of USA/Canada Lego history at affordable prices!!!
