| (...) Derek's got a good point - lead bricks aren't necessary - lots of battery boxes with dead batteries, or, 8466 tires. | (...) Another thought is to use some external source to hold the beam still for the first 10 to 20 seconds of the contest, allowing both robots to do their stuff, and then let the beam go.
